School Camp 2017

Students ready for Boggie Boarding
Lockrose State School and Kentville State School had a combined camp. It was held over the week 23-27 October 1017. The weather had been predicted to be horrible but held off for the week. We normally have a bush camp but this year went to the beach, at Currimundi Beach Camp on the Sunshine Coast. Years 4-6 went for the week and Years 2 and 3 joined us on Wednesday afternoon, after a day at Australia Zoo, for the rest of the week.
The activities included learning how to Boogie board, testing our nerve on the giant swing, testing our heads for heights on the high and low ropes, building catapults that catapulted, surfing the blue waves, exploring caves and rock climbing very, very high walls.
We all had a wonderful time and the staff from both schools were awesome. We made many friends with the students from Kentville.
Mr Hallahan says our next camp will probably be at Thunderbird Park, with Kentville again, in November 2018. We cannot wait to catch up with our friends.
