Grounds
Lockrose State School is built on 3.3437 hectares (8 acres, 1 rood, 2 perches) of land. The school has a sporting field, tennis court and covered adventure playground.
Buildings
The original 1905 school building with extensions made in 1906 and 1907 currently houses the administration office, principal's office and staff room.
The 1981 demountable building is used for music lessons.
The 1992-1994 teaching block contains two double teaching spaces, wet area, office spaces and storage. It is used as the main classroom teaching area.
The large covered area, open on two sides, is used for assemblies, school events, under-cover play, student lunch are and also houses the tuckshop.
The most recent addition to the school is the new library. This is located on your right as you come in from the carpark.
